L’EuroCloud Star Audit est convenable à toute société opérant comme une Infrastructure (IaaS), Platform (PaaS) ou Software (SaaS) Cloud Service. Le certificat est un outil de significations de choix pour l’usager. L’audit a pour objectif d’établir un haut niveau de sécurité et transparence aux usagers et fournisseurs.
EuroCloud est l’un des leaders dans le secteur des standards de certification du cloud, et le programme EuroCloud Star Audit possède un système de certification de haute qualité, selon une étude menée par Booz and FTZ, publié par le Ministère fédéral allemand de l'Economie.
Il s’est précisé que „Dans un niveau européen, ETSI et EuroCloud sont les organismes les plus influents“ et „Dans un niveau européen, ETSI servirait comme un coordinateur. EuroCloud est une association paneuropéenne des fournisseurs de cloud computing, avec une haute influence.
EuroCloud travaille en étroite collaboration avec ETSI et ENISA dans un niveau européen pour harmoniser les critères d’un cloud computing fiable.

CCSL – le Cloud Certification Schemes List – par ENISA fournit un aperçu des différentes certifications existantes, incluant l’ECSA.
EuroCloud publie online le 100% du contenu du catalogue ECSA, avec l’objectif de faciliter une compréhension profonde sur l’ECSA et une vision claire sur la portée et le niveau de qualité du fournisseur du service qui a été certifié par ECSA.
