Engineering, Measurement and Control Technology and Analytics, industrial
customers are supported during the entire production process. In this case,
data is updated at several locations, making transparent data handling and
standardised customer acquisition more difficult. The introduction of a CRM
solution to provide a clear overview of contact administration for the
acquisition of new customers and to update the existing customer base was
therefore essential. The necessity of a fast solution as well as the
decentralised organisation required a solution from the Cloud.
Controlmatic places emphasis on a straightforward introduction of the
solution. In the first step, the standard functions of CAS PIA were adequate.
Following a structured selection process and a clarification of open
questions, the Project Manager signed up for an account in the Public Cloud.
This was then followed by the exemplary rapid introduction of a standard
solution. Only a few administrators created the general conditions within
the CAS PIA web‐based CRM solution. The users will also be booked and
trained. After an initial run just a few weeks ago, the users will meet at a
User Conference in order to bring about further potential for optimisation.
Whether the Public or Private Cloud is more suitable for a company depends
on the current IT landscape as well as the individualisation and just how
quickly a solution should be introduced.
Controlmatic benefitted from a fast introduction thanks to an “off‐the‐shelf”
CRM Cloud solution, and SVG integrated 29 applications into one solution
and is expanding it by individualised functions.

Cicero Consulting GmbH: Virtualisation of Software Quality
Tools in the insurance sector
This case study deals with the development of middleware modules for, the
structured management of contracts and software to support the
accounting for a German insurance company – the DKK Deutsche
Kautionsgemeinschaft AG. The analysis of the underlying processes, the
software development and the solutions for maintenance and after sales
support have been provided from an Austrian external IT consulting
company ‐ Cicero Consulting GmbH.
In addition to the complexity of the processes, software development with
external IT service providers is often a challenge due to the privacy/security
requirements as external developers/engineers have probably access to the
(
parts of) the file system. Often development and operation is conducted on
