Dr. Marc Hilber is a partner in the Oppenhoff & Partner law
firm, where he is co‐responsible for the Information
Technology & Communication (IT & C) division. He focuses on
advising IT service providers and their customers. He
additionally provides advice in technology‐related transactions
such as outsourcing and software projects, or acquisitions in
the IT industry. Another focus is data protection law. As an
internationally acknowledged expert, he regularly gives talks
on IT law topics at conferences. He has also published
numerous papers on legal questions in the context of software,
outsourcing and data protection.
Marc Hilber was also involved as author in the first edition of
the book in 2011. Parts of his work have been incorporated
into the current 2012 edition.
